Lunch in Baileys 2

This week, for mums birthday we decided we were going to try out somewhere new that we hadn't been before. After some recommendations we thought we'd give 'Baileys 2' a go! The café was situated in my town Bury St Edmunds, just down Whiting Street. It was the perfect escape away from the busy town during lunch time. From the outside it looked like we had gone back in time, as the building wasn't a new modern build. It looked cosy and inviting, somewhere you could go and sit for the afternoon out of the way of all the hustle and bustle from town.

The café wasn't too busy, as soon as I walked in and was greeted I felt really at ease there, the staff were really welcoming and happy, and we weren't waiting long to be seated. We browsed the menus and everything sounded fab! All of us paid very close attention to the MAHOOOSIVE cakes they had on offer, but had to tear ourselves away!

Once we had all stopped drooling over the massive cakes they had displayed ( Fudge cake with TOBLERONE CHOCOLATE SAUCE!!!) we ordered our lunch. I went for a bog standard egg and cress sandwich and a vanilla milkshake, whilst my sister got the BIGGEST milkshake ever! Topped with TONS of cream and loads of chocolate on the top. (absolutely love the mug it came in!)

The service was pretty quick, we were not kept waiting for too long before our lunch was put down in front of us. I was absolutely stuffed afterwards, definitely couldn't have finished off with a cake, however scrumptious they looked... If you ever happen to find yourself in Bury St Edmunds, be sure to give this little café a whirl! I know for a fact I'll definitely be returning for that fudge cake... Or the red velvet one.
