When I was a lot younger I remember making Christmas biscuits either at school or at home, and really enjoyed making them (and ofc eatings them!) so I went on the hunt for some cutters and a decent recipe that I could follow easily because I’m a novice and got baking! I decided to go for some festive shortbread instead because I reaaaaaally fancied some!
250g of baking butter - softened
240g plain flour
And then to decorate:
Some food colouring
Maybe some edible glitter or balls
Preheat oven to 150 degrees. Line a baking tray with baking paper or go around the tray with some butter
Beat the butter in a bowl until smooth
Add the sugar and flour and mix together
Knead the dough on a floured surface, then chill for 20 minutes
Divide dough into 2 pieces and then roll each of them out to a thickness of around 1/4 of an inch
Then crack out the festive cutters and go to town!
Pop your master pieces into the oven for about 15-20 minutes and then…
