Baking Some Festive Brownies!

It’s Blogmas post 19! And I thought I’d pop another baking post up in here because I really loved making the shortbread in the previous baking blog post a few days ago! Although I didn’t make as much mess this time because I didn’t have to fiddle around with icing… Icing is not my friend! So I found an easy brownie recipe to follow and popped in here for ease as well as a link to it at the bottom.

Ingredients:

  • 140g/5oz dark chocolate

  • 225g/8oz butter

  • eggs

  • 450g/1lb caster sugar

  • 110g/4oz plain flour

  • 55g/2oz cocoa powder

Method:

  • Heat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5 and line a baking tin with baking parchment.

  • Melt the butter and sugar together in a large pan.

  • Take off the heat and beat in the rest of the ingredients.

  • Pop into the tin and bake for 30-40 minutes until the top of the brownie is firm but the inside still feels soft.

  • Take the brownies out of the oven and cool in the tin. Cut into squares when cool.

    Waiting for it to cool down in the tin was SOO hard because I just wanted to eat it- I know I have no self control. They were absolutely delishhh when I got round to trying them! I also popped in some white and milk chocolate chips in too because ofc basic brownies weren’t going to do it for me!
