Baking Some Festive Brownies!
It’s Blogmas post 19! And I thought I’d pop another baking post up in here because I really loved making the shortbread in the previous baking blog post a few days ago! Although I didn’t make as much mess this time because I didn’t have to fiddle around with icing… Icing is not my friend! So I found an easy brownie recipe to follow and popped in here for ease as well as a link to it at the bottom.
140g/5oz dark chocolate
450g/1lb caster sugar
110g/4oz plain flour
55g/2oz cocoa powder
Heat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5 and line a baking tin with baking parchment.
Melt the butter and sugar together in a large pan.
Take off the heat and beat in the rest of the ingredients.
Pop into the tin and bake for 30-40 minutes until the top of the brownie is firm but the inside still feels soft.
Take the brownies out of the oven and cool in the tin. Cut into squares when cool.
Waiting for it to cool down in the tin was SOO hard because I just wanted to eat it- I know I have no self control. They were absolutely delishhh when I got round to trying them! I also popped in some white and milk chocolate chips in too because ofc basic brownies weren’t going to do it for me!
