5 Things I Want To Achieve By The End Of This Year!
I know were already a 1/3 the way though the year (wtf?!) but I wanted to make a post with a small list of things I would LOVE to do more of or achieve by the end of this year, just as like a little target for me that I can look back at in December and blow my trumpet a little bit.
The first thing I really want to do more of this year is travel! Yeah I know blah blah, that's a really common thing to say in these kind of posts, but I want to see more of the world! No, not necessarily jumping on a plane tomorrow to America for like a month (although I REALLLLLY want to go, definitely on the ol bucket list!) because that would be hella expensive and take me agessss to save for something like that... But to just go to somewhere like Berlin, Amsterdam, Venice etc. etc. for just a few days to see what these places are like and find out a bit of the history, and just be a little touristy! It also gives me something to look forward to if I do these little and often trips! Recently we went to Brighton and I absolutely loved going around and finding new little cafes and shops that aren't just big chain restaurants etc.
I just feel like planning little trips also just makes things so much more enjoyable, if you're anything like me at the moment I'm in a little bit of a slump, so having these little trips not only is a great opportunity to blog the absolutel crap out of it, it allows you to get away from your usual job and town! and chill a bit somewhere else!
Another cliché af thing i want to do more of is SAVE MONEY! But I mean like seriously saving! I'm pretty good with money than most I'd like to say, I have some savings so if anything majorly goes wrong (like my MOT last month!) or I have a real rainy day I do have something to fall back on, but I want to have a bit more saved and get the ball rolling, because obviously at some point in the future I'd like to move out and have a home of my own! Its gonna take a few years but it'd just be nice to be at a nice number!
The third thing I really need to do is stick with some sort of physical activity! Yup. I just never tend to do anything physical anymore! (not a dirty joke, get your head out of the gutter!) I don't think I've ever stuck to anything for long, whatever I do I just seem to lose motivation or just straight up forget to go back! So y'know what I've done? I'VE JOINED A GYM! I know! Shocker! I have a fixed 6 month contract, so every month £24.99 comes out my account, and I figured because the money is going out every month I would be more motivated to actually go to the gym or to a class and stick to it! I initially joined up with someone just because I wanted the extra person to be there and I felt really awkward going alone, but I've done it once and now I'm all independent and go by myself a lot of the time and once I get there I'm ok! We'll see how long it lasts! I'm not aiming to getting that "summer bod" in time for holiday, I really don't have that kind of motivation! Kudos to any of you if you do! I just have really bad eating habits and having a bf that also eats crap but still looks slim af doesn't help either!
The fourth lil thing I really want to do is move forward and think about what I actually want to do job wise too. I got into a bit of a state before Christmas bc I was putting so much pressure on myself to find what I want to do with my life, but this year although its April, I'm feeling a bit more positive and I'm not giving myself as much stick as I was a little while ago. I just feel like I have been endlessly scrolling through pages and pages on the Indeed website but there's nothing that really pulls me in and makes me eager to chuck my CV at it! I'm moving around hours at my current place of work so I'm going to see about fitting something in around work! I would absolutely love to do something with dogs or related to animals. Perhaps doing my own dog walking bc, I mean if you haven't seen my blog... I like dogs a lot! I just need to give myself a big kick up the backside and get things rolling properly, because I'm really good at stalling and putting things off!
My final point is to grow my blog a ton more, obviously! I want to spend more time working on this blog and getting some better quality posts and images up! I started this back in July last year and I love how far I've come since then! Although I haven't really been taking it seriously up until this year properly, I feel like I've really got into the flow and I'd love to improve my photography skills - investing in a camera soon so prepare for some cool shots at some point!
Okay, I think this post is long enough! Sorry for boring your eyes to death! I thought it'd be nice to do write about something different this time though! Let me know if you have any goals you want to achieve by the end of the year! Or if you've already achieved some of them!
