What time is it?! Summertime! I really hope you got that High School Musical reference because otherwise I sound daft. It’s summertime lads! And since my spring wardrobe post went down really well I thought I’d do a summer edition, in case you are needing some inspiration for your summer wardrobe this year!
Straw bags are one of the first pieces you need in your summer wardrobe! They are THE bag to see you through the summer period. I should know, I’m wearing mine to death over on my Instagram! I have fallen in love with straw bags. and the bamboo ones – however unpractical they may be.
Shop Straw Bags
Sundresses sundresses… Sunnnndresses. God are they SO pretty. These are a top priority for your summer wardrobe! I could seriously buy every one I see, especially the ditsy floral ones. They add so much colour too, so if you’re interested in adding some colour into your wardrobe this summer, why not start with a summer dress? Maybe a sundress paired with a straw bag and some sandals or white trainers – your go to if it’s a hot weekend. Strolling around town with an ice cream or going round a family or friends for a BBQ, the PERFECT outfit!
Strappy Heeled Sandals
Sandals BUT with a small heel! Instantly dresses up a summery outfit for if you want to go a lil bit extra, or if you’ve got an event (i.e. any event anywhere). I’m obsessed with these colourful strappy sandals, it would really add something to your outfit!

Square Neck Top
I was apprehensive with the square neck trend when it first came about earlier this year, I’m not going to lie to you. But I bought my first top (from Primark obvs) and I am OBSESSED. Love the square neck trend. It’s not going anywhere and ESPECIALLY not for summer. Cop one for your summer wardrobe and see what you think!
Shop The Square Necks
These weren’t originally going to be in my suggestions for what you need in your wardrobe this summer. I really have a love hate relationship with shorts. Mainly hate. They are soo freaking annoying. Sizing in every shop is different. Finding the right pair is nearly impossible. I said nearly because I think I found my niche of shorts. My OG shorts that I think I’m going to live in until the end of time. They are juuuuust long enough to cover up the chub rub / chafing which is literally the BANE of my life in the summer. Note to self: invest in bike shorts to put under dresses and skirts.
Seriously though I feel like these will save my relationship with shorts, and maybe if you normally hate shorts you should give them a go and see what you make of them. Let me know how you get on please!
