Blazers. Who knew I’d be writing a blog post about bloody blazers!
So it’s only recently that I’ve discovered that blazers actually make an outfit. Yeah. I KNOW. How late am I to the party?! And if you’re only just discovering it like I am, don’t fret! They aren’t going anywhere!
I always felt like blazers were only for teachers or women who worked at banks.
Seeing bloggers wearing them on the regular on both Instagram and Pinterest, styling them and ROCKING them has given me a a lot of inspiration. So i bit the bullet. I copped one from ASOS (obvs did buy now pay later with Klarna) to see how I felt about them and CRIKEYS. I’ve only gone and found a core piece for my wardrobe!
It honestly just makes an outfit so much more “put together” and smart. When you could have literally chucked on a pair of jeans and a plain tee, it actually looks like you’ve made an effort and it just looks HELLA fab.
They are also the PERFECT piece for spring. The UK is known for its god awful weather. Just the other week it was sunny and raining at the same time. You literally have no idea what is going to be greeting you when you open the front door. A blazer is literally the ideal piece to add to your wardrobe! You think you might be a bit chilly in your midi skirt and tee? Add a cheeky blazer! Want to add a bit of smart to your causal attire? Add a cheeky blazer!
You see what I mean? It’s SO versatile! Come the autumn when we’ll all cry out again because we have no idea what to wear during the transitional hell – you know what we’ll need? A BLAZER!
I feel like I’ve really been opening my mind to new pieces for my wardrobe this year, and I’m absolutely loving trying out new styles – from midi skirts, blazers and the good old high waisted bikini.
Have you been trying out new things for your wardrobe? And will you be taking the plunge and getting yourself a blazer?
